I'll start with a question.

"What's the difference between someone that achieves their dreams, no matter HOW big they are and someone that doesn't?"

Answer: The simple but strong belief in one self that he or she can achieve whatever they set their minds to.

Don't get me wrong, there have been countless times when I thought I wouldn't make it. I contemplated going back to work and giving up the dream of make $1000s a day sitting in the comfort of my own room. It wasn't easy. The mental part of it was MUCH harder then the physical. But a little voice inside my head would always whisper, "Why are you doubting yourself, you're no different to the others that have made it, they've just been in it longer." And it was right. That WAS the only difference. Every time I thought back a month I would go through all the things I've learned, regardless of whether I made money or not. As long as I had learned a lot, I knew I was doing it right, so i continued, sometimes, forcing myself too.

In this post I wanted to highlight some of the mental hurdles I faced and outline how I got through them,

The Negativity from People That Don't Understand

Oh there are so many of these people, I'm getting worked up just thinking about them. Almost NO one will understand you. For many, people that live this kind of a lifestyle are just 'special', 'lucky' people. They've had it handed down to them or just have some 'gift'. Completely not true. Almost every business that's made it ridiculously big started in someones garage with some coke and pizza. Think Apple, think Microsoft. All I can say is don't hang around people that don't believe in you. Hang around forums, meetup groups, people that believe and give you the confidence to keep going. I started entrepreneuring with a friend of mine. He was the only one who understood my decisions and because I hung around him so much, it made it a lot easier for me to continue with this.

I need a Job, It's More "Stable"

WRONG. I'm starting to realize that the majority of people have it all wrong. They've accepted what's been taught to them without asking any questions and have become so brainwashed into thinking that a job is the best and in many cases the ONLY way to make money. For some, a job represents stability. This can't be further from the truth. In my opinion, knowing how to create and generate wealth regardless of having a job is one of THE most representative of stability there is. Knowing you can make money without depending on some companies CEO or the economy is so much better. We're living in a time and age where whole industries are being wiped out via technological advancements. What's going to happen to your job if that happens? Oh that's right you won't have one. Sorry to be blunt but I really need to shake this mindset out. Once you start investing in the development in YOUR OWN ability to make money instead of a companies, then you'll reach a point not many people do. Financial Freedom.

The feeling of falling behind

The human being lives his life like a race. Wanting to be better then others at certain things. To get a higher pay rise, a better car, a better house, etc, etc. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it makes him/her feel important and I'm definitely guilty of this too. This competitive nature can be really good if channeled correctly but it can also hold you back from making certain, life changing decisions. I know I felt like I was falling behind many times but I knew that's the wrong mentality to have. I knew it was this exact mentality that had me living the way I as before. So systematic. Good grades, good, uni, good degree, good job. It all sounds..well...good, but you're not going to achieve your dreams that way, certainly not if you're an entrepreneur. You have to let go of this. Sure, you may feel like your life's stagnating for few months, or even a year or two but your growing tremendously on the inside and when, one day it all fits perfectly like a puzzle and you hit some gold, you'll be thanking yourself you did it.

You're bank balance will drop to zero eventually

Although I didn't have an income, I was fortunate enough to have a decent size saving. In the $10,000s. Even though I had this stock pile of cash, I'd still feel like there'd be a day I'd lose all this and I'd be back to square one. This would stop me sometimes and get me thinking of going to work. Although finding a job would have solved this issue for me and many of you, it's the easy way out. I don't believe finding a job to get some more dollars in the bank is necessarily a bad thing, but the human attachment to financial stability is one of the biggest killers of the 'entrepreneurial spirit'. Entrepreneurs are risk takers, they go all out and know that one way or another they'll make this work!

Doubt This Actually Works

I thought the whole 'money making online thing' was just a dream until a very close friend of mine made $120 in one day and he made it while he was asleep lol. Of course countless hours went into getting to this stage, it completely shattered this limiting belief  of mine. I know many of you's have a lot of doubt of this being a reality and I completely understand. Another big thing that solidified my belief that you can make a lot of money doing this was hanging around AffPlaybook. There's guys there making $1,000,000's and are just people like you and me. After spending a day or two reading posts, contributing and generally being part of the AffPlaybook world, you feel like it's just a matter of time till you become one of them. I can't stress enough how much of a turning point that place was for me.

I know this is not as analytical and as business focused as my other posts but I felt there was a need for it. Don't be afraid to make crazy decisions. Whether that's quitting your job to try make this work or taking a trip to the U.S to attend the affiliate summit. It's these decisions that change your life for the better. At the end of the day you can't continue to do the same thing and expect to get a different result.
